Mike Gallagher

As the National Property Claim Practice Leader for USI Insurance Services, Mike is responsible for leading a geographically-spread National Property Claim Practice and overseeing the handling of large complex losses on a global basis. These responsibilities include providing direction to clients relative to appropriate claim management on a pre-loss basis; assisting and mentoring national claim staff in addressing complex claim scenarios and setting up protocols to meet the needs of clients; and working with account teams and clients to evaluate exposures and determine the best methods to address these exposures on a pre-loss basis.

Mike serves as a full service claim advocate for clients with general and catastrophic claims. Advocacy includes assistance in resolving difficult coverage and loss measurement issues on property damage, business income, extra expense, and equipment breakdown matters. He acts as a senior liaison to select insurance carriers.

Mike has a broad range of experience working in the brokerage and insurance industry. His past positions include Vice President and Senior Property Claim Consultant at Marsh; Regional Property Claim Specialist at CGU Insurance Company; and Regional Property General Adjuster at GAB Robins North America.

Mike earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Rhode Island. He holds Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC) designations. He also completed the Property General Adjuster Professional Development Program from GAB Robins, Inc.
